Laval, May 30, 2017 – GardaWorld Cash Services employees affiliated with the Teamsters union yesterday ratified a new collective agreement. More than 90% of the members who voted were in favour of the employer`s proposal. The work program updates at the end of each month a list of collective agreements expiring this year, which includes 500 or more employees in provincial courts and 100 or more workers in federal courts. “I want to congratulate the bargaining committee, especially Owen Lane, who did a great job,” said Jason Sweet, Director of Teamsters Canada`s Armoured Car Division. “The members were behind their union, which gave us the strength we needed at the bargaining table.” The safety of heavy goods vehicles was the main theme of these negotiations. The truck fleet will achieve a higher level of safety and thus offer more protection to workers. Team members also benefit from salary and performance improvements.
